One Last Wish by Aurora Rose Reynolds
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I am shamefully, shamefully, shamefully behind on book reviews. Here’s a quick review (for an equally quick story) to hopefully appease the book gods that walk among us.
Denver is a swoon worthy Alaskan fisherman. First and foremost he’s loyal to the core. My God this guy hangs around for years to get the girl! He’s handsome, physically fit, and precious with 4 year old Lyra.
Bre is a tad harder (or perhaps slower) to enjoy as a character. She’s works on the docks selling fuel to provide for herself and her daughter. She is shy and has limited interests outside of her daughter… which makes for a great mom but less than interesting character. Apparently she’s also not too bright because she doesn’t see that her “friend” Denver (who practically dedicated his life to supporting her and her daughter) is actually in love with her. Yes, there’s the element that she has walls up to protect her heart but if that’s the case I think accepting Denver’s help is a smidge selfish. Just my opinion- you’ll have to let me know what you think when you dive into the story!
