Wardrobe Malfunction by Samantha Towle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Apparently I’m going through a “Samantha Towle” marathon! This is the 3rd book of hers that I’ve read in the past week and a half.
Quite frankly I think it would be difficult for Samantha to write something I wouldn’t enjoy. Wardrobe Malfunction delivered the same awesomeness that I’ve come to expect with her work. Vaughn West is a talented, handsome and therefore very successful Hollywood actor. When we first meet Vaugh he’s recovering from a devastating personal entanglement where his girlfriend was cheating on him with his best friend. Let’s just say that Vaughn has trust issues way above and beyond the cautiousness that anyone in the public eye deals with.
Charlotte “Charly” Michaels is hired as a wardrobe assistant on Vaughn’s newest movie. She’s gorgeous (at one point she’s enlikened to Gigi Hadid) with pink and lavender dyed hair. I can’t pin down her exact personality to describe to you because at certain points she’s feisty and creative. Other times she’s meek and self depreciating.
Ok, so just a fair warning- the ending is very reminiscent of another popular movie star meets a “regular girl”. I’m wracking my brain trying to remember which one it is but I.JUST.CAN’T.REMEMBER! Argh! Stay tuned! I’m sure it will come to me and I’ll update my review. Certainly if you enjoy this book you’ll want to check out the other one.
